Step By Step Getting Started Guide
I know you want to get started making money as soon as possible, but it
is vital that you take the time to read this page through completely and follow each step. Otherwise, you will make a mistake
and you will not get the credits you need so that you CAN make money.
I can't guarantee
that you'll get credit for every offer you complete, every time, but I can guarantee that if you follow my guide to the letter,
that you will get credit 90% of the time.
It would also
be a good idea to bookmark this page or save it to your favorites so that you can return to it easily.
If you don't understand something, or if you have questions, please either
call me, IM me, or send me a private message right away. If you don't contact me, I won't know that you are having problems
or have questions.
Things You'll Need Before You Start
1:
A static internet connection that is not behind a proxy server. Internet service providers like AOL and Earthlink are known
to use proxies and you are not allowed to complete offers on IFWs using these services. If you are not sure whether or not
you are behind a proxy, take this test: Lagado Proxy Test 2: A credit
card or a debit card with the VISA or Mastercard logo on it, issued by your bank. You cannot use pre-paid, giftcards, or any
other type of "reloadable" credit or debit card to complete offers. You also cannot use any Paypal instruments like
the Paypal Plug-In, the Paypal Debit card, or credit card.
3: You must be a resident of the United States or Canada who is 18 years of age or older.
Step One : Preparing Your Computer & Browser
Browser Settings
- Make sure you've turned off your pop-up blocker,
- Set your browser set to accept all cookies
For instructions
on how to do the above go here: How To Turn Off Pop Up Blocker & Accept All Cookies
- Set browser security settings set as low as
your system allows. For XP and IE 7, that setting is usually
Medium. These settings are typically found under Tools =>> Internet Options for IE 7 and
Tools == >>Options for Firefox.
- Clear your cookies and cache. Go here for instructions on how to clear your cookies in Internet Explorer & Firefox:
How To Clear Your Cookies
You will only need to clear your cookies ONCE before
signing up/logging in to the IFW. Do not clear your cookies in between offers as this is unnecessary and will cause you to
lose credit.
General Computer Settings
- Turn off your Windows firewall and any third party firewalls you may have
running. Windows Firewall can be turned off via the Security Center under Control Panel.
- An example of a third party firewall is ZoneAlarm. You can turn off ZoneAlarm by right clicking its icon to the bottom
left of your computer screen by the clock. If you have a firewall that is part of your anti-virus program, please refer to
the instructions on your particular anti-virus software to turn it off.
- If you have Adaware or Spybot, turn these programs off. If they are running there will be an icon by the clock that
you can right click and choose shut down or exit.
- Leave
your anti-virus on, just make sure that any accompanying privacy guard features are disabled. You can access these features
in your anti-virus programs security center. If you can't disable the privacy guard features, you'll need to turn
off your entire anti-virus program while you are completing offers.
- Turn off any third-party toolbars, like Google or Yahoo. These feature additional security settings that interfere
with offer tracking. You can turn these off by going to the View menu at the top of your browser, selecting toolbars and deselecting
them from that list.
Remember to configure
your computer and browser as above each time you re-start your computer before you do freebie sites. Many programs, like anti-virus,
anti-spyware, and third party toolbars will load at start up and must be disabled again.
Once you are done with completing offers for the day, you can turn all of your anti-virus and privacy guard features
back on.
Step Two: Signing Up With The Freebie
Site
Sign up using my referral link, which
you will find in the trade manager. You will be asked for your email address and a password of your choice. You
will also be asked to choose your "gift" or "prize." You can choose anything you wish as you can change
it at any time. You do not need to worry about getting referrals at this point toward that prize, or about the prize itself
at this point. The prize and referrals become important when you advance to Method 2.
You
will need to fill out the registration form. Please be sure to use your true and correct information. Using false information
will cause you to be placed on hold. You will also be asked to agree to the terms and conditions of the freebie site. Be sure
to read the terms and conditions before agreeing to them.
Many freebie sites require you to pass phone verification. In phone verification, you will input your telephone number
and you will receive a call within seconds of clicking =>next step<== or =>Call/text
now<= and an automated attendant will provide you win a PIN code which you must enter at the site correctly
to proceed further. You must use a landline or a cell phone number to do this, VOIP (voice-over-internet protocol) like Vonage
is not allowed.
Once you have completed phone verification, if necessary, you will
have access to the offers page from where you will be completing the offers.
Step Three: Completing The Offer Requirements
(Going Green)
Going green means that you have fulfilled
the freebie site's offer requirements. How many offers you will need to complete will vary from site
to site and depends on how much credit each offer is worth on that site.
The freebie
sites that I recommend for you to start require that you get 1 credit to "go green" or meet their offer
requirements.
Each offer will be assigned a different
credit value, for example 1/2 (.5) or 1/4 (.25) or 1/3 (.33) credit, or even 1 full credit. When choosing offers that are
less than a full credit, you have to pick enough offers to add up to 1 full credit. You can do (2) 1/2 credit offers to get
there or (1) 1/2 credit offer and (2) 1/4 credit offers...etc.
When you click on an offer, you will be re-directed from the IFW to the advertiser's web-site. The web page
that you first land on after the re-direct is known as the "landing page." Let the landing page load fully
before you start entering any information.
Avoid pressing
your browser's back button, as this will cause crediting mishaps. If you need to read the terms of service or any other
information about the offer, do so in either a new tab or browser window.
Remember to use the same contact information on each offer that
you did when signing up at the IFW/freebie site itself. It is okay to use a different email address than your Paypal
email address, but it should be a working email address and you should use the same one every time, and on each and every
site and offer. It also goes without saying that you should never give false contact information to either the freebie site
or the offer. Giving false or contradictory information will get you placed on hold at the freebie site
(go red.)
Do not navigate away from the main
"landing page" should additional "pop ups" come up. A common one that is coming up lately is one where
a "chat representative" with a picture of a smiling girl with a head set offers a discount. Do not click on
that pop up. Close it and enter your information on the main page and proceed normally, otherwise you will not receive credit
for the offer.
After you have signed up for an
offer, stay on the "confirmation page", (the page that says thank you for signing up, or some variation thereof)
for about 10 minutes, leaving your computer completely idle. Don't surf the net or do anything on your computer during
this time.* After 10 minutes have passed, check your email for a "confirmation" email from the offer. Once 10 minutes
have passed, you are safe to close the "confirmation page" and continue working on the site.
*Some offers, like Blockbuster, require that you use the service immediately to receive
credit. So for Blockbuster, once you have signed up, proceed through to their website and rent some movies right away. Some
offers require a download of some type, eg. Stamps.com. You should immediately download the software and install it in order
to receive credit. For these types of offers, leave the confirmation page up, but proceed with any downloads or start immediately
using the service right after offer completion.
If
anything should go wrong while you are signing up for an offer, like if you accidentally press the back button on your browser,
the page does not load properly, your order does not go through, or you are re-directed to some other offer other than
the one you clicked on, close down the offer page, log out of the freebie site, clear your cookies, refresh your browser,
and log back in. If the offer did not go through, or the page wasn't loading for you, then it is probably best to
try another offer.
Once you have completed your first
offer using the steps outlined above, simply rinse and repeat with your next offer, and so on. (This will all become second
nature to you the more offers you complete. :))
Save the confirmation emails you
receive for each and every offer. Should you not get credit for an offer, you will need the confirmation email to apply for
a credit request, if allowed.
Don't worry if your credits do not show up right
away. Even offers labelled "instant credit" can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few days to credit you.
Be sure to bookmark the freebie site for future reference. You may
log in using the email address you used and the password you created at sign-up to check your status at any time.
If you have any problems what-so-ever, or you get stuck on something, no matter what it is, you can
call me or instant message me at any time and I will be happy to assist you on a one on one basis.
Let me know by PM, or IM or email when you are green, and I will pay you
as soon as possible...usually within 24 hours of you going green.
Remember, that after you are green on that site, that site
is now YOURS to collect referrals on!
